Food & Beverage Manager
Leanne first joined the Sirocco team in April 2013, while finishing her Hospitality Management Diploma at SAIT Polytechnic. After her first season with Sirocco, she decided to gain further insight in the food and beverage industry outside of Canada, and backpacked Europe in the winter months. Upon her return to Calgary, she furthered her experience in the Private Club industry by working at the Ranchmen’s Club, actively participating in the Canadian Society of Club Managers.
Leanne returned to Sirocco in the summer of 2015, and took over the Food and Beverage Manager role in 2018.
Angie is originally a farm girl from Ontario, and started her career in hospitality early on when she was 18 – as soon as she was legally allowed to mix a drink! Since then she’s worked at a variety of restaurant and event venue concepts. She attended Fanshawe College in London ON and earned her Diploma in Restaurant Management with distinction – she definitely had an eye for detail early on.
Angie entered the world of Events Management in 2009 with Redwater Rustic Grille. She spent many fun and rewarding years there until deciding to broaden her scope, taking on a Sales Management position with the Carriage House Inn for a few years. Wedding coordination has always been a passion of Angie’s, so it was with great excitement that she joined the Events Team at Sirocco.
Born in Langley, B.C., James is considered by many of his peers to be a rising star in the world of food. An eighteen year veteran of the Canadian restaurant industry, his enthusiasm for “all things culinary” shows with every plate that leaves the kitchen.
James grew up here in Calgary where he trained and worked his way through many of the cities finest restaurants. During his time at Murrieta’s, James and the restaurant garnered many accolades, most notably “Best Overall Restaurant”. After that it was on to The Living Room where he, helped elevate the restaurant onto the national stage; being named “one of the best places to eat in Canada” by the National Post along with numerous other awards. Most recently James enjoyed a very successful three year stint at the helm of Cabana Bar & Grille in Kelowna, where he was nominated for Western Living’s “Top 40 Foodies Under 40”. Coming back to Calgary, James joined the Vintage Group as Culinary Director of Redwater Rustic Grille.
When the opportunity came about to join Sirocco, he made no hesitation as he sees the golf club and restaurant as a great “canvas” for him to showcase his talent. James’ food is an innovative combination of old world elegance and his own unique twist of new world flair. Alongside his talented team, James looks forward to sharing in not only Sirocco’s growth, but the growth of Calgary’s culinary community. From the local Chef’s Association, to the Chaine des Rotisseurs, to all the farmers, ranchers and growers across the province, James has his roots planted here in Calgary and is proud to call it home!
Sous ChefOriginally from Torbay, Newfoundland, Adam spent his teenage years in Calgary where he began his culinary career. He has spent the last ten in a management capacity, working for companies such as Moxies, and Hudsons Canada Pubs. Adam is returning to Sirocco Golf Club as the Sous Chef, after finishing the 2015 season out as the Chef de Partie.
When he is not in the kitchen you will likely find him on the course trying to make birdie – so be sure to say hello when you see him around the clubhouse or out on the course!
